Thomas joined us as a Moderator in 2024. With a background in biology and science communication, he keeps conversations flowing during live Chats, whether they’re asking the big questions or just curious about the little things.
Lynne Batty
Trained in Photography and Media Technology, Lynne set up as a web designer in 2008. She joined as a Moderator at the end of 2024 and helps us out with the I’m a… web work too.
Beki Hooper
Beki joined the team in 2024. She is a writer and biologist, and loves to be outside. She can usually be found in or on the sea, swimming, paddleboarding, or snorkelling.
Laura Bowman
Laura joined the moderating team in 2025, after having worked as a teacher and within national education projects. She’s passionate about wildlife, so when not working loves to be outside – especially by the sea!
Errol Naeem
Since 2019, Errol (he/they) has been involved across I’m a… projects, becoming a more permanent fixture in 2024. With a background in politics, accessibility, and education, Errol is our go-to for keeping up with the latest memes and terms.
Hannah Book
Hannah joined the team in 2025 doing admin and moderating, after working in a school. Hannah loves to listen to podcasts and music while gardening and stopping to photograph bees.
Georgia Taylor
Georgia joined the moderating team in 2025. She is a science communication enthusiast, youth worker, singer, and nature lover.
Jess Hawkins
Jess joined the moderating team in 2025, after finishing her chemistry degree. She is a keen reader, and will most often be found crocheting blankets and watching a cosy TV show.
