I’ve been thinking about whether there are better ways to let you know what we are doing and get feedback from you. Our evaluator, Yvonne, suggested this, she thought if you can all see what each other are saying, we’ll get some really usefully discussion going. See what you think.
Below is a brief summary of what we are doing to publicise the event to teachers, and also to scientists. Please have a look and let me know if you think we are missing anything. All suggestions welcome!
Plan for recruiting teachers
- Put up info on site and form for teachers to register (they can register for March or for June, or just sign up to get emails from us about future events).
- Publicise the call

- Email all teachers signed up for debate kits

I’d also like to email all ITT providers for science and all area science co-ordinators, but I don’t have a list of them, despite much searching. The TDA have a list but they refuse to give it to me, saying it’s because of data protection. Actually, of course, the contact details of course organisers are public information and only personal information is covered by data protection, but I didn’t fancy my chances of persuading them of that…
If you have any great ideas on where I can get either list, would be grateful! Otherwise I am going to employ someone for a couple of days to phone bash and get a list.
