CGI supports the “I’m a…” programme through Social Value funding to inspire future digital talent

CGI partnered with the “I’m a…” programme.

CGI chose to partner with the “I’m a…” programme as part of their meaningful Social Value commitments on a recent Public Sector contract.

The programme provides an enjoyable and flexible option for STEM outreach for a workforce facing limits on time and travel allowing them to engage with schools with limited access to enrichment opportunities.

The partnership, which provides space for 20 volunteers across 3 years, meets four social value Model Award Criteria.

What is I’m a Scientist?

I’m a Scientist, Get me out of here is an online activity where school students get to meet and interact with scientists.

It’s a competition between scientists, where the students are the judges.

Students challenge the scientists over intense, fast-paced, online live Chats. Then they Ask the scientists all the questions they want to, and Vote for their favourite scientist to win a prize of £500 to communicate their work with the public.
